Below you’ll find a list of questions we get asked most often about compostable diapers and our compostable diaper service.  If you have a question that is not answered below just visit our Contact Us page and we’ll get right back to you.

Q: What is the cost of Compostable service?

A: We charge a flat service fee of $39.99 billed once every 4 weeks. This includes delivery and pick-up and composting of soiled and wipes into our commercial composting facility that will take the diapers and safely compost them in just a matter of months. Diapers are purchased separately based on individual needs. If you choose both combination cloth and compostable diaper service the fee is reduced to $10.00 every 4 weeks.

 Q: Is there a set-up or termination fee?

A: There is absolutely no cost to set-up or terminate your account. We do not have you sign any long term contracts and you may cancel at any time.

Q: What is your refund and return policy?

A: Any item purchase from Kind by Nature that is in the unlikely event defective we will happily replace the product. We offer unlimited free exchange of any unopened packs of compostable diapers for any other size of diaper.  Our service fee is non-refundable.

Q: What do I use to collect my diapers in?

A: Kind by Nature offers you two options for diaper collection; you may choose our green compostable BioBags or a double walled #0 gallon paper sack. The compostable Biobags are available in 13 and 33 gallon sizes. The 13 gallon bag fits nicely into a diaper pail which you can rent from us if you choose. Simply collect your diapers and tie a knot when bag is full.  * If you are using combination service, just put all your diapers in pail liner bag and we will sort them.

Q: Where and when do you pick-up and drop off diapers?

A: You will choose a designate spot for pick-up and delivery just like our cloth diaper service. We will whisk away your soiled diapers and leave you any products you have ordered.  On the same day every week, on your assigned service day.

Q: What happens if I forget to leave my soiled diapers out?

A: Unlike cloth diaper service, we can just simply pick them up the following week. A Kind by Nature team member does not have to come back immediately to get your diapers laundered so this eliminates any fee.

Q: Can I purchase my compostable diapers from other retailers?

A: Unfortunately we cannot accept diapers that have been purchased from any other retailer. The only way to ensure the integrity of what goes in our composting stream is to provide the diapers, bags and wipes that we pick-up.

Q: How do I make changes to my order?

A: Simply contact us within 48 hrs before your scheduled delivery day. If you miss the deadline, please call us and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Q: How many packages of diapers do you recommend for my first order?

A: Most newborns generally go through 2 packs of diapers per week. As your child grows diaper use tends to decline to 1 pack a week. For your first order we recommend 2 packs of diapers, 2 packs of wipes and 1 box of BioBags.  Kind by Nature offers these products through a convenient starter package.

Q: Can I compost these diapers in my backyard composting site?

A: No, it is unsafe to compost these products in your back yard compost. They are required to be composted in a regulated commercial composting facility that utilizes high temperatures required to kill harmful bacteria and pathogens found in human waste.
